DI Inquiry Groups for Spring / Fall 2023
Every three years, the college submits a Student Equity Plan to the Chancellor’s Office that assesses which student groups are disproportionately impacted (DI) at the college and identifies strategies to close identified gaps. The plan was completed this past year and, as with previous plans, the 的想法办公室 will be conducting focus groups with those populations identified as DI to gather community voices in answering the question, “Why do we see what we see in the data?” Employees and students who identify with the populations listed are invited to sign-up to attend a DI group. Group meetings will last 1.5 hours each and will be facilitated by peers who have completed the Equity Champions training. Both on-ground and virtual options are available. Groups are facilitated by "Equity Champions" who engaged in training this past year around facilitation and understanding equity data. 的工作 of these groups will be compiled into the 2022-2023 iteration of the Student Equity Resource Document.
